“I am standing by Morgan Ballis. Morgan Ballis is trustworthy, compassionate, stable, and hopeful for his family’s future and that of Blaine County.”

— Steve England, Chief of Police, Hailey Police Department

KEY POSITIONS

As Blaine County Sheriff, Morgan will bring the same energy and dedication to collaboration throughout the valley as he has in his many roles in the military and law enforcement. Morgan will continue to build on and invest in new relationships in order to foster positive change. Having stepped into high level command positions in the past, Morgan understands the balance of influencing growth while not disrupting systems that are working well.

Morgan is committed to being a visible and accessible leader. As Sheriff, he will be ‘present’ in the community and work to build and strengthen relationships throughout the community.

BIOGRAPHY & EXPERIENCE

Morgan has lived in the Wood River Valley with his family for four years. In that short time, he has quickly become a well-respected and beloved community member in his role as the School Resource Officer at Wood River High School. His collaborative nature and dedication to his work earned him the award of Hailey Police Officer of the Year in 2023. As a nationally-recognized law enforcement trainer, Morgan will bring a wealth of experience to the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office.

ENDORSEMENTS

Morgan is honored to be endorsed by a diverse group of community leaders, activists, and stakeholders. Endorsements include the command staff of local law enforcement and first responder agencies, non-profit leaders, emergency managers, elected officials, business owners, and community organizers.
